It is always easier to get forgiveness than permission.

<considers F>

OK, it is *usually* easier to get forgiveness than permission.

I have Touratech kit on my Versys - the little deflectors atop the BMW
GS handguards. They were already fitted to the handguards I bought used
from where I work

I'm expecting Steve to pick something up on his way over.

No, you just sneaked out when she'd gone shopping and got there too late
to have a go.

I resisted the temptation to leave last night and stop at Steves and
thought I'd made the right choice when it brightened up nicely this
morning. Then it ****ed down just after I left and carried on like that
for 75 miles. My old cordura waterproof trousers aren't waterproof
anymore so once the sun was out and i was confident it wouldn't rain
again I stopped at the side of the road, changed into a pair of jeans,
had a smoke and a bottle of lager then carried on home.

All I need to do now is get my gear off the bike, hose it down and then
consider whether or not to buy yet another motorbike.

We both stopped but Steve did suggest that we might be better to head
for his place but the forecast as for better weather today and I didn't
fancy getting a good soaking.

I'd have been ok if I'd either taken decent cordura trousers or a pair
of lightweight over trousers but I took old kit because I knew I'd end
up lying down in the mud.
