<grin> Me likey. 150 kph ain't all bad for short periods. Question
about speed cameras? Red flashing light as I passed by under an
overpass? There were two of them, one pointed upwards and another
kinda sorta across the road. Wuz I nipped?

Been in country for three days now. Left Frankfurt after picking up
the bike on Saturday, then rode to Niedersolbach for a mini-rally.
Came down to Kaiserslautern Sunday, met up with my son and caught up on
stuff. Tried to go over to Trier today, but it was miserably ****ing
down. Turned around and came back to catch up on stuff in my room.
*sigh* I leave for Bertesgaden Wednesday.

What plates are on your bike? I have California plates on mine and
it's pretty much a get out of jail free card. Not that I abuse it
_too_ much. I think the authorities must have a flip book movie of my
travels. I have nightmares that Interpol is sending a posse after me
to collect.

It's a 700cc dual sport. I think it topped out somewhere around 162
kph. I tried getting off and pushing, but it still wouldn't go any
faster. I do miss my Daytona 1200. It would be a hoot over here.

Rental bike, German plates. I'll end up paying it, if it was a nip.
118/100 zone, should be cheap. I hope. hehe

Heh. Sort of what I was thinking. From the description of a 700c dual-
sport, it sounds like a TransAlp. I think 110mph is about your lot on
one of those.

And if it's anything like the Duke, it'll weave like a Jacquard loom at
anything over 70.

that pretty much describes my mate's 600cc Transalp - made worse by the
enormous Givi screen he fitted. As a championship class enduro rider he's
embarrassingly quick in the twisties, though, the bastard

Yup, TransAlp and it's rock steady at it's upper limit. It leans over
pretty well too. I may have to see if it'll fit in my suitcase when I
go home.
