me...but it was first thing in the morning and I knew nothing about it
except the computer was broken...so format and reload, connect...computer
broke again...Hmm, something going on here...then updated NAV says eek worm
thingy...ok, look up symantec site...get worm fix...no worm...computer not
alive long enough to get ms fix...look at RPC service, bloody default for
service fail is 'restart computer'...change to 'restart service', computer
fixed ha ha...get ms fix and apply...continue reloading stuff and trying to
remember passwords...bah...

got it 6 times tonite while trying to get rid of it!!!!!!
if u get a message box pop up saying u have 60sec untill ur PC will shut
down go to the clock in the bottom rihjt hand corner and turn it back 2 hrs.
then go to symantec.com and download the fixes then to the microsoft page
that has a file to stop u getting it again!!!!
hope it doesnt **** u all round like it did to me!!!!

Also, I heard there's a Worm going around that only effects win 98/SE/2000 &
XP, not ME. this true?

My commiserations...

Apparently only NT based systems are at risk. If they don't have a firewall
and up to date AV protection.
