I just plug in an extra monitor when in the office. At home I find
multiple desktops works just fine.

It's vegging on the sofa that's the problem, & screen height rather
than width. A widescreen laptop would definitely do my noodle in. A big
wireless LCD screen mounted on the wall above the TV & driven by an
iPad would probably work nicely. Or I could just get a life.

Don't get vegging on the sofa, myself, but each to their own.

I love vegging on the sofa - but if a computer is anywhere near me, I
don't consider it vegging!

I have a 14" Sony Vaio that is going, comes with Vista, and runs pretty
good.

Only thing is it needs a new battery.
