It seems that some of us are going to go and watch racing, drink beer
and camp on a noisy site.

http://www.wbruk.com/

We'll only be camping on the Saturday night but the drinking should
commence before lunch on the Saturday and it's bound to get messy.

I've been meaning to go for years because it's supposed to be totally
****ing insane and an evil person has been muttering in my ear about
entering next year so having a look may or may not be a good idea.

Anyone else up for it?

I've been a few years and the police seemed pretty low profile - but that
was five years ago.

It's brilliant stuff to watch but you really need to be super fit *and*
super skillful to participate. The emphasis on super stamina.

What day are you camping? I assume Sat then race day on Sun.

I've got to be in Glasgow on the Monday so it'll be unlikely for me.

I'll train by running up and down power station staircases rather than
doing my normal trick of using the lifts to go up if I'm going above
the 100' level and I'll cut down to three pints of Stella on weekdays.
Do you reckon that'll be enough?

You assume correctly.

Racing finishes at 16:30 on the Sunday so if you use the bike you'd be
home by 20:30 which leaves plenty of time for a quick snooze before
hopping on the train on Monday morning.

That's you sorted out then. I'll email you details when we've got the
plan finalised.

Need to be there in the morning - I'll see if I can get a flight from
Gatwick.

Now, see, you've put temptation in me way.

I would but I have a prior engagement.

I'm pretty **** at offroad riding, despite owning a 'crosser for over
ten years, but I wouldn't mind having a go.
