Rossi, as predicted, bags it. If Stoner keeps this form, next year
could be his again, then again, the big Q is whether Stoner and
Lorenzo can handle pressure and expectations for a whole season...

As to WSB, a superb effort by Spies in race 1. Fast *and* cool under
pressure, he needed the win and went after it, while Haga on the other
hand crashed out under pressure. With the roles reversed for the last
race, it had a taste of "game over" all over it. Spies is cool.
Phenomenal championship win.

The 250 now is the final championship to be awarded this year, and it
looks like the land of the raising sun is going to get a title with
Aoyama. Bautista knocked himself out of title contention. Simoncelli
rode *hard*. It should be quite the finale, with all the egos
involved.

Quite the year for Yamaha. 1 and 2 in MotoGP, WSB, WEC, WSS, 1 and 2 in
BSB, 1 in all the major European national championships (France,
Germany, Holland).

Another thing that makes all those SBK championships exceptional. It was
done in the first year of a brand new bike. Which makes Yamaha Italia's
And Spies' performance even more amazing.
