I'm looking to choose betwen a '98 XJR and a 2000 V-Max and I was
wondering what other people here had to say about them. I've lived and
ridden in Japan for just on 7 years now but this will only be my
second bike here. The last was a Ducati Monster which was a miserable
piece of **** that sucked balls when it came to servicing because I
live in the sticks.
Anyway, most of my riding is around town with the the odd day trip of
a couple hundred km but with a reliable bike, I aim to do a lot more
big trips. I'm mostly looking for what pitfalls I should be aware of
as well as any huge differences. Is the V-Max's handling much worse?
Maintenance much more? etc. Thanks in advance.
