I can get one quite reasonably priced with fixings etc. What will fit on the
thing? Is there some kind of adaptor for Givi etc?

Cheers

You can bolt a Givi mounting plate to it for a topbox.

As to what will fit on it, that depends how determined you are. As I
was taking a pillion, I packed all my weekend gear including tent and
airbed into my 55-litre Oxford Paddock Sack [Warning! Not for motorcycle
use!] and strapped it to the Renntec rack on the back of the RF900
[Warning! Load not to exceed 2.5Kg!] and it did Pembrey and back, at
suitably stupid speeds. No problem.

Yep. We picked up a topbox and universal plate at one of the shows.
Something like this.

Note the Monokey and Monolock systems have different universal plates.

If it's anything like mine you can bolt a Givi mounting plate *half* onto a
Rentec rack. I decided against it for two reasons;

a) it means any load in the topbox is even further away from the mounting
points thereby increasing the leverage on said points.

b) it looks naff (and in my mind, if it looks naff it probably is naff)

Naah. Tough as old boot. Bearing in mind the overhang, I'd be looking
at removing the 'grab rail' loop, so the plate would mount further
forward. It isn't like a pillion could fall off with a tobpox behind
their behind, is it?
