Hi,

Please can anyone help? I am looking to replace my steering head bearings
and wheel bearings and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the
bearing references are before I start dismantling, so that I can order
bearings from SKF or FAG and not pay the rather expensive Kawasaki OE
prices. Any other bearing Refs i.e. swinging arm etc would also be much
appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Jason

first, why change them. are they rough or damaged?
if so, i would change the cups as well.
most mfrs. have proprietary bearing setups in the head
all the ones i've seen are composed of a cup, a cone and loose balls.
you assemble the balls in the cup with a stiff grease.
pay the expensive price IF the bearing needs replacement

on the wheel bearings, there will be a number.
pay the price IF they need replacement.
sam

You might find the bearings that you need in aftermarket kits for your
street bike, as those are supplied for almost all popular dirt bikes
by Parts Unlimited by All Balls.
