It's really quite unsettling - I've got the itch to change it, but the
only thing that even vaguely seems worth looking at is that new Beemer
and I'm not throwing 12 grand at an itch.

    Oh, woe is me!

I wonder if a 1050 lump would fit the T595 frame?

    OK, let me rephrase.

I'd like them to build a 1050 Daytona that looks like a 675.

    The T595 was hideous.

FFS, take a tip from the Candyman and Bloody Mary. He's supposed to say
it three times before you appear.

I like the T595 over the "origami" look later ones.

water ingress that corrodes the fuel pump connections is favourite at the
    moment

I loved my T595 and I think they looked great, except for the high speed
misfire which the dealer couldn't fix. So I chopped it for a 996.
    ISTR Adie had one too.

At least two that I can remember. Well actually I think it may have
been only the first that was the named T595, with the second, later
one just being badged Daytona. But the same bike under the skin,
    AFAICR.

    Or a 675-style bike with 180bhp.

    T595 -> T955 Daytona -> Daytona 955i. Or thereabouts. Not much
difference between the first two but all three had taken a fair beating
    with an ugly stick.

You recall correctly. I bought Adie's all black Daytona 955i SE off
her and sold it to Nige - only her first Triumph was designated
    Daytona T595.

I much prefered the look of the 2003 onwards twin headlight and more
angular styling models, the earlier ones look like they melted in
    extreme sun

Mine had an underseat exhaust and looked not unlike this

I can't fault it for looks. Opposite of Loz, I didn't like the 955i which
also had a rather stretched forward riding position.

Naturally my 595 had a custom top yoke and flat bars
