I guess it depends on whether it's a write-off or not. If not then
it's probably going to be around the same cost as a theft claim for a
    reasonable BMW/Audi IWHT.

He should have bought a Fiat.

  3. If you can afford an £800,000 car, you can afford to underwrite
yourself. Silly bastard. Him, that is, not you.

    <Thinks>

Well, you as well, purely on principle.

    Dan White says...
I'd blame it on the hormonal pregnant woman in the Astra, pay her off
with a few of grand to take the rap for it and be away scot free with
    NCB intact.

"Look sweetie, my insurance goes up 10K and I lose all my NCB if you
claim, yours will go up 50 quid max per year if I claim off you. I'll
buy you a nice year old Astra if you take the rap for it, OK?"

  6. Is that the same model of car that Clarkson used in the Top Gear "drive
from Italy to London with a truffle" episode where the other two were in
    a plane and then Eurostar?

40 mph limit, that must have been extremely hard to keep within if it's
    acceleration characteristics are bike like.

"A police source said it was thought the Veyron — capable of 253mph —
was doing around 100mph when it slewed out of control."

A quote from The Sun, admittedly, but it'd suggest why the driver's been
    nicked for Careless (DWDC&A)

I like the way all the comments re: the Astra are positive, and all
those re: the Veyron are negative.

  13. If he was doing a ton in a 40 limit, I think he'd be nicked for
    Dangerous.

Only if he's doing it in car, surely it's perfectly safe on a motorbike ?
