Thats not a bad buy i dont reckon, new tyres & chain too

It has some gash laser cut heel plates, but i can get some originals for
nowt.

Anyone seen anything better?

I've not studied the prices of these in too much detail of late, but
that looks pretty cheap to me.

Not being a diehard fan like yourself I wouldn't know the correct
spelling, but you obviously knew who I meant.

It has to have some degree of comfort for long fuckers like me

What's "best"? I found the K5 far too small, so it certainly wasn't
best for me.

 

Beat me to it. The K1 to the K4 had luxobarge comfort with sprotbike
advantages. K5 on reeled them back into discomfort territory IMHO.

 

Isn't the K5 the one that's supposedly prone to having its frame crack if
abused?

Eh? Not sure what you're referring to. I only rode a K5 briefly, when
I had the K3.

Naah, the only mods my bikes have ever had consist of scrapes and
scratches, and maybe a double-bubble scree.

 

If the scree is scraping your bike you're likely taking the corners too
wide.
