0933 appointment

  1. Can't have been too far off prompt, but I was out of the consultant's
office by 0933:30! What I didn't expect was that the operation was to take
    place immediately.

I was led away to a place of waiting, summoned in about 20 mins
later and out of the hospital by 1030, minus one basal-cell melanoma and
with an added six stitches. Once the local was in place I didn't feel
much, except for one suture that went a bit beyond the deadened region.
There was an awful lot of cauterising tho', which I didn't particularly
    enjoy the smell of.

  2. Ouch. My mum had this done recently. Hers required a bit of skin
transplanting to cover the hole. 24 stitches in her case.

BTDT. Right on the top of my head where I was sunburned through my bike helmet.

Had stitches inside the incision that were supposed to disintegrate
after a few weeks but didn't. They migrated out after a month or so
after the outer stitches were taken out by the doctor.

I need to get three very dark and raised moles on my back examined
soon, two of them have got to the itchy stage. They were looked at
about two years ago and I was told they weren't anything to worry about
then, but they have got worse in appearance and size in that time.
