After 5 and half years of melbourne commuting , clocked 100,000 kms today on
    my blue 97 vfr750.

During that time ive had nothing but a reliable and a pleasurable
    experience.

Other than replacing the R/R twice, it's been perfect.

Looking forward to the next 100 thou.

Thought I'd share that with the group.

I think it's like kids. Apparently "it's different when they are
    yours!"

Hello, not sure if you're on the aus vfr list. If not, feel free to check it
    out at:

    http://ausvfr.ampersand.asn.au/

We have a few people with high km viffers on the list too.

I'm proud to say that mine has 62,000km on it over 3 yrs and no probs beside
the R/R failing... I'm still planning on doing a 25,000km trip around
Australia to add to that, hopefully in the next year or so... Until then,
will keep riding and adding those touring km's on :)

    Regulator/rectifier
VFR, CBR, Blackbirds, VTR are known for it.
Expect about one every 35-40,000 km

Are bikes still failing there? The old Suzi GS had that problem - it was
sheer stupidity of the design of the regulation system - jeez, crude control
of one phase of the alternator..

At 37,200km my bird is right in the danger zone then eh....
I haven't seen any mentions of the R/R problem on the various XX mailing
    lists.
