A couple of times I've heard the bike emit a buzzing noise (that
sounds like it's coming from some sort of speaker) after it's been
    ridden.

Today I'm sure it did it when I was riding.

Any ideas? Doesn't appear to have anything wrong with it and there's
no warning lights on. Fluid levels are all fine.

Hardly a ZX-10R I know, but my new ER-5 makes a noise that sounds similar
to what you are desribing, it is the filler cap vent on my bike for sure.

Na, it's very definitely some sort of electronic buzzer. Quite
high-pitched. Like a warning really, but I can't see anything in the
    handbook.

I suppose it could be, but as I said to Ginge, it sounds electronic.

But temperatures would hold with the breather theory.

Seriously, it sounds exactly like the noise the ZRX makes in the sun.

Fuel tank breather. The 9R's a right noisy bastard at times.

Only other I'll add is that when the breather on the filler cap is making
this noise on my ER-5, it is a very constant sound and goes on for ages [1]

    ginge says...
The race bike I spanner did it, it's the fuel tank vent. We put a race
filler cap on and it stopped.

Oh yeah? Haven't you heard Dodger snore?

Sounds like an authoritive answer there so I'll go with that and not
    worry about it.
