Don't know if anyone here went to last year's Snowy Ride, but:

During the Presentation at Thredbo Village Square, a bike was heard to
    start up in the background.

    Presenter: Sounds like a Ducati...
Person in the back (quick as a flash): Can't be, its still going!

    Spontaneity rules OK

many years ago.. (about '95 I think) was the Twins in Tassie rally. 5
days around Tassie for the riders of twin cylinder bikes.

Ended up being various Ducatis, and 2 elderly Guzzis.

    Early morning on Cradle Mountain.

    Observe fresh snow on gound.

Observe almost every Ducati having to be push started as they wouldn't
crank over or if they did, they wouldn't start.

    Observe my 1974 850GT and Phil's 1974 V7 Sport starting easily on
    the button.

Listen to much swearing and by pushstarting Ducati riders observing
    said easy starting Guzzis.

Note Guzzi riders refusing to swap bikes...
