After a bit of thought, i have decided to overhaul the brakes with original
bits, given the frankly quite surprising performance at Silverstone, i have
got some braided hoses, some MRR front pads & some seals.

I wish i could afford a Brembo radial master cylinder, but i cant right now,
so overhaul it is. Road use they are a bit slow, but i found them pretty
decent on the track & managed to outbrake quite a few at the end of the
straight into the right hander at eeeeek speed, so they arent that crap.
They are crap compared to the K1200S, but that had just about the best bike
    brakes i have ever used.

I have tried everything to get the gold front & rear calipers clean & they
are fucking filthy still & it rather lets the whole show down a tad.

Would some kind of ultrasonic cleaner get all the shit off?

If so, where are they cheap?

Now it's had the front end sorted out, a decent screen, it's rather a weapon
    to be honest.

I'll have it all in bits once i get back from America whilst the flaky
    wheels get painted, Black, obv.

That has nothing to do with the brakes and everything to do with the
    people pulling the lever.

Well, i know what you mean, but if you dont have confidence in them you just
wont be able to leave it that last few hundredths on the track, but on the
road they just need feel, especially at mid speeds.

I could use one finger on the BMW to scrub off tons of eeeek, this needs a
good fistful, probably no slower to stop, but feel is everything on the
    brakes to me.

I suppose the best way i could describe it would be.. I'm coming into a left
too hot & I know it, on the BMW I could just use a little finger to drip a
bit of speed off into & mid corner. To get the same effect i would have to
grip the lever far harder & feel just a bit too close to the edge.

I'm sure you know what I mean..

Grabbing the front brake in the corner felt better on the BMW than the
    12R?

That, too, is nothing to do with the brakes.

Using my little finger to scrub off speed with feeling is just not the same
as grabbing the front brakes to do the same.

Nothing wrong with a bit of speed scrub off......

Just got the Goodridge hoses, the fronts are marked 'race' and have two
seperate hoses & a twin banjo bolt. I take it that the splitter is not used
& both of these go to the master cylinder?

Cif Power Clean. Spray on, leave for 10 minutes, rinse off. If they're
REALLY fucking ingrained, a brush will lift anything that will lift after
the Cif has been on for 10 minutes.

I parsed it as horses initially. Then as four hoses. I gave up at that
    point.
