I need the manufacturer and parts number for upper and lowers hoses for
both radiators on my ol'88 GL1500 with 76k mileage.I'm just about to
change the Timing belts so I thought since I was so close down
there..why not change the hoses? Any advise will be very much
    appreciated.

Can't tell you the exact type but I took my old hoses in once and looked
at auto hoses until I found the ones that would work. They have the
right bends but had to be cut on either end to get the section I could
use. No criss-cross on such things, so it's all manual labor and the
patience of the parts guys at NAPA.

The next time, I just got the right hoses from Honda and was done with
the whole swap in less time than I spend trying to find the right hoses
    elsewhere.

Thanks for your suggestions,I was hoping for actual cross numbers for
gates, napa or some other hose company mainly because of my distant
location from a larger town to use your method but it may be best in the
long run to pay the full Honda price as suggested if I can't locate part
    numbers.

Ouch! just checked Honda Parts online source and the upper and lower
    hose will be $100!

amortized over the life of the hoses, it's very reasonable. even
accelerated amortization at $10 per year per hose (5 years) it's nothing
compared to the average cost of owning and properly maintaining a bike.
You'll spend more than that on oil if you ride the bike any.

Thanks for the link Mark but I was not able to navigate to the GL1500

I'm still trying to find upper and lower hoses for a 88
    GL1500..servicehonda either doesn't carry 1500 hoses or I'm lost. :(

BTW,anotrher owner says you rarely ever have to replace these hoses but
I'm alittle suspect of that thinking..am I wrong?

if you're willing to spend the time, you can take the oem ones to a good
auto parts place and compare them to their inventory. you'll eventually
find hoses that have the right bend if you cut one (or the other) ends
    off the longer auto hoses.

service honda had the right stuff. some of these places are poorly
designed and don't work well with HTML-compliant browsers. try using
Internet Exploder to see if that will work.
