Scolyer was Wally's brother in law.
    Taswegians, like me.

Richard Scoular was (is?) a kiwi, now living in Bris. Owns the Scooter
shop on the corner of Queen & Ann Sts.

Was that Steven Klein? - He was the only one brave enough to ride pink

He was a fast m'f##ker for a couple of short years - until Bathurst (I

He still is! But it hurts more now!

I was supposed to ride with a young Magee in that race but he pranged
his trail bike & broke an ankle(?) the weekend before. According to
Scaysbrook, Roger H rode with Robert Holden on a GSX1000 (a Katana, I
    guess).
As I remember it, Scolyer just happened to be there with his leathers in
his bag. - He was much quicker than me but luckily I managed to stay
    aboard, for once.

Couldn't have been much earlier than mine, which was an '83 with a number ending in 000339...
Those stupid splined bars, I would have broken mine if I could have replaced them!
And cheated! So how old are you going to be before you get an airhead?

Hmm; I would've said yours was an '84-on XJ900F as opposed to the '83
    XJ900R
    http://www.geocities.com/mpastonesi/Xj900r-1.jpg (note the fairing)
but that manual you gave me was an XJ900R manual so maybe yours was an '83
with an '84 fairing (or a late '83 plated '84 model or something..... )

I don't think Magoo ever raced the gorgeous boiled-lolly DB1 (although
Aaron Slight did at least once).
I think Bernie's talking about the earlier TTF2 replica that repeatedly ran
foul of the rulebook (concerning whether it was a "production" frame or
    not).

Well, Pete, remember when we went to that pissup at the Island,
and there were lots of bikes going around a bit of road with
some nice corners but we couldn't find a hole in the fence to
get through to there so we just had to sit and watch them?

Apparently Bummers got stuck on the _inside_ of that fence for a bit!

Not being a Ducophile I didn't comment, but I was fairly sure it wasn't
    a Bimota.
