    Heh. Is right answer.

There's something satisfying about doing a runner from Plod, however
    irresponsible it is.

Well, I've done it. Anyone else?

    More than once.

I even did it without realising they were chasing me but they gave up
    and nicked the slower rider.

I don't quite get all this "doing a runner" thing. How do you know they
didn't get your licence plate, and won't be round later with an "Evenin'
    all" etc?

Antony Gelberg () gurgled happily, sounding much like
    they were saying :
"I wasn't there - haven't even used the bike today. The plate must be
    cloned, Officer."

Heh. As the tick-tick-tick of cooling metal is heard from the lockup.

    Antony Gelberg says...
Park it up but do not apply steering lock and take the keys with you,
report it stolen next morning. Claim they must have picked the lock or
    had a duplicate key.
