HELP. THREE QUESTIONS. (1) COULD SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE THE TORQUE TO
WHICH THE EXHAUST FLANGES SHOULD BE TIGHTENED. (2) IS THERE ANY
"COMPOUND" I SHOULD USE IN ADDITION TO THE "CRUSH WASHERS"? (3) IS
THERE ANY COMPOUND I SHOULD USE BETWEEN THE HEADER AND THE MUFFLER?
    THANK YOU.

    0) TURN OFF YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY.

    1) Your genuine Kawaksaki shop manual (not Haynes, Clymer or Chilton)
will tell you the correct torque setting. If you don't have one, get one.
I will look it up[1] when I get home. If you're too eager to wait, don't
tighten it more than about 10-12 ft-lbs max, as a WAG.

    2) No.

    3) No.

I don't have the manual for this particular machine but I do have a
manual for a '77KZ650B1 which should be close enough.

My KZ650 manual says to use the standard torque value for a 6mm diameter
    1.0mm pitch stud, which is 0.6 to 0.9 kg-m, or 4.5 to 6.5 ft-lb, which is
    not very tight at all!

And even though you didn't ask the question, Kawasaki does recommend using
a locking agent (Loctite) on the threads. According to the information on
the Loctite website, it appears #272 (high temperature red) would be the
    one to use.
