Hi guys, I am new to the area and I just bought a 1982 750 nighthawk project bike. The main question I have is :

Are there other honda 750's that parts can come from to fit the nighthawk 750? I am only concerned about the engine, or better yet is anyone parting one out? Thanks

Definitely check this group's archives (e.g. via Google groups search)
for more information. NIghthawk parts questions come up with some
regularity. I'm sure that a moderate amount of effort on a www search
will also come up with information, though it may take a while to figure
out which keyword combinations are the most useful.

Also, the more specific you can be when you're asking about
interchangeability, the better. There's probably a whole lot more people
out there who could tell you what years shared the cam-shaft than there
are people who can give you a complete list of compatible parts. Some of
the folks in the first group do hang out here.

    Welcome, and HTH

'indiana' is a 'nolnn' and 'hoosier' is a 'solkk'. Indiana doesn't solkk.

Even back in the 1960's, Honda parts guys didn't want to mess with me
if I didn't have the engine number handy. Hawks and Super Hawks and
Dreams were already being redesigned in the earliest days.

  4. Better than some people managed.

"I wanna bit for my bike."

    'What bike is it?'

    "'Onda.'

    *Sigh*. "What sort of Honda?"

    'Blue one.'
