1985 kx 80 probs

    85 kx80....bike runs good, fires right up...reeds are good, good
    compression, clear exhaust pipes...prob is, no power down low, kicks
    in the mid range and higher rpm...any ideas on what would cause it to
    have the power band up so high? also has stock teeth
    sprockets...thanx for any help

    ok..i have it down tot he power valve set up....anyone have any pics
    of the set up and how to adjust accordingly?

  3. An 80cc machine won't have much low end power in the first place, you
    have to rev the piss out of it to move at all...

    But, if you've noticed a decrease in what little power you did have...

    Try cleaning out your idle jets and work on richening up the bottom end
    of the power band by turning the idle mixture screws a little richer...

    Check your ignition timing to make sure it's not too far advanced...
