2 Down on the Gold Coast

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by DoinitSideways, Dec 29, 2003.

  1. Heard on the radio this morning of two riders who lost their lives in the
past 24 hours on the gold coast. One was a learner rider who hit a truck and
another was a 38 year old who ass ended a car on the M1. I hope there isnt
    anyone i know there.

Four of the most recent fatalities were motorcyclists.

A 38-year-old man crashed his bike into the back of a car on
    Queensland's Gold Coast last night.

Police said he was then run over by another car on the Pacific
    Motorway at Pimpama.

A 24-year-old motorcyclist died yesterday afternoon after his machine
and a truck collided at Mudgeeraba, in the Gold Coast hinterland.

A motorcyclist died in Sydney's Moore Park this morning when his
machine crashed, and a 42-year-old man died on the NSW Central Coast
when he slammed into a guardrail yesterday.

  4. Thats scary. I hope everyone is extra careful on the roads this New Years.
Not knowing the details of any of these accidents, i still want to say be
safe and watch out for the cagers.

Looking at the evidence, me thinks not. Whilst most are doing quite well,
I've seen some exceptionally stupid people on the road over the x-mas
    period.
And keep yer bike in control..? Rear ending a car sounds like a very stupid
way to go - if that's really what happened. The other deaths ... most single
vehicle incidents involving trees etc. So as not to let the flames of harsh
week die out: Darwin at work?

Very sorry to hear about the learner rider though.

    *snip*
What's scary is a friend of mine said he was going for a ride that night and he lives
relatively in that (this) area. I only read this info 5 mins ago elsewhere, i sms'd my friend,
but have yet to hear back from him.

    *fingers crossed*

    That's his point
Your not using correct protocols when you are posting and as such your
posts don't seem to make sense.
Not a criticism just an observation.
check your newsreader to see if you can change the way you are posting
    your messages.
