2000 R6 Mini Review

  1. Sorry for all this off topic posts. ;-)

Today was spent out with a mate who has a 2000 model R6... rude not to
have a mini 'CIHAGM' fest, with him trying out both the VFR and 9R at
    various times.

Anyway... my impressions of the R6 are as follows:

    * Nowhere near as uncomfortable as I was expecting - no backache,
just a bit of more stress on the wrists than the 9R.
    * Cracking power delivery - a lull followed by a relentless
progressive build of power from about 8k up to the 15.5k(!) redline -
bloody addictive and felt extremely quick as a result. :-D
    * Very composed chassis and lovely handling, not the twitchfest I'd
been led to believe one of these would be.

All in all, I bloody love it - it's the biking fun factor I've been
    looking for.

Fickle as I am, I'm seriously now considering getting one. The main
thing that could sway me from this is if an R1 is the same shit
reheated, just with that much more poke, so I suppose I ought to sort
out a test ride of one of these asap.

    Anyone want a 9R??? lol
