Asking prices aren't the same as sale prices, of course.

There is one for 2k in bradford with 22k miles on
    Definitely worth doing.
They haven't old many. Very solid bikes, apparently. early ones had
silly wide bars, later changed to narrower ones. Cam drive is by bevel
and shaft, of course, like an old Ducati.

For three hundred sovs I think I'd take my chances with the front
    only...

I am very shocked that a machining god is buying new bits. Couldn't
you just mill one from billet?

    I was tempted.
Heh. Given five years and an unlimited budget, possibly.

Obviously, I would not normally use it on such a sporty machine as the
Mighty Pan. However, the Sons of Sochiro have linked the bugger to the
front brake, see. So there's no real option.

Having said that, I do use the rear brake on the BlingMobile, which is
probably why I'm quicker cross-country than you.

Maybe you should try it? I can give you a few lessons, if you'd like.

    Not tried the usual breakers?

Making little sleeves for new pins suddenly seems cost effective...

Nah - get one of those wonder CAD/CAM mills - just take a picture of
the caliper, bung a chunk of metal at the machine and drink tea while
it does its stuff. I've seen it and it's that easy on American Chopper.

I did, but they've only got high-mileage ones. I then had a sudden fit
of "Oh, **** it" and decided the price difference wasn't that huge that
    it was worth fucking about.
I might have a go at that (just for interest) when the old one's off. If
it works, I might Ebay it...
I've *got* one of those wonder CAD/CAM mills (a very small one). It's
broken. I put the photo on top of it, and ****-all happens. I'll have to
    read the manual one day.

    Oh. I'll have another go.

Does it have to be a colour photo, do you think?

Anything will do - a picure of the bike with an arrow pointing at the
