My bikes recorded a total of 10,203 miles this year.

My lowest annnual total since 1998.

The Wing (5,964) did under 6,000 miles in a year for the first time.

The KH500 had a final 30 miles added to its meagre total, before
seeking pastures new in the Lake District.

The Blackbird's total of 3,257 was its highest annual mileage since
    2001.

The CBX did 952 miles, mostly over two weekends - Chimay and EOSM.

Reasons for a such a pitiful performance?

Only one TOG tour? No, Chimay cancels that out.
Only one trip to the in-laws? Possibly. Still only 1500 miles, though.

    Ah. Gottit.

Only doing 1,967 miles on the RBR, compared to 6.5; 6.0; 8.0 and 6.9k
    in previous years.

Resolution for 2006 - get it sorted.

    Motorcycling highlights of 2005?

1: The howl of a (my) CBX motor accelerating up hill.
    2: Chimay.
    3: Riding(hah!) Bonners's ZX-10R. =8-0
    4: Platy's campsite acrobatic display.
5: That final farewell blast on the KH500. Sheer stupidity.
6: Fork Untrys inner day. KSBs in tunnels.

    ... and the lowlights?

    1: Selling the KH500.
2: The niggly problems with the Wing.
3: RBR shambles on my part.
4: The demise of the Comfy Chair.
    5: Selling the TS250, when it started 4th kick after a 2 year lay-up.

The Guzzi covered around 5,500; the Turbo and MZ (Snorky) about 1,500
put together and the outfit managed whatever it is from Cwmbran to the
    M23 slip road.

About usual, although the van covered a great deal of what normally would
be done on two wheels because great as the Guzzi is it couldn't carry the
tools and stuff I had with me at various race tracks this year.

That and I don't pay for trains and cycle into work so don't have heavy
    commute mileage.

    1. Team UKRM
    2. Drinking with Team UKRM
    3. Race to prepare the Guzzi for Chimay
    4. Chimay.
    5. Guzzi related lunacy.
    6. Trackday session on Daz's Gixer thou race bike round Donnington.

    1. Team UKRM ending this season
    2. Turbo blowing up at 135 mph ish (this almost made the highlights)
    3. The race to prepare the Guzzi for Chimay
    4. Crashing the outfit
(again this almost made the highlights except in hindsight this was
the most serious accident I've had for a while).
    5. Guzzi finally succumbing to 10 years of lunacy and a prior life
    as a police bike.
    6. Twenty years have passed since I first set sail on my DT100,
L plates flapping in the wind.

I have been giving it some thought in the last couple of hours and I
reckon I could happily survive a brain wipe involving about 45 of the
    weeks from last year.

I am quite happy to see the back of 2005.

It weren't all bad though, me beetroot were and continue to be,

Somewhere closer to 7K, here.... lots less than '04...
Ho, yuss! Utterly bonkers....... and stupidly hot!
And the mass kicking-back-into-shape of the bike.

Selling the Tigger. Shame, but it wasn't helping my back, any.... so it
    had to go.

    For 2K6...well.....

Try to preserve my pristine licence in it's present state........ While
giving it some beanage on the Bandit!

Visit countries I've never been to, before - preferably on a bike - but
definitely avoiding the tourists and getting out to explore.

No more wrecking my back while camping!

Lose some tonnage, get a proper checkup from the doc and sort other
    medical crap.

    Drink less and party more.

    Say "no" more often.

Buck up. It still lives, just with somebody else.

I haven't yet decided what to replace it with.

  11. What has gone wrong dear chap? Can't quite picture you as a slob.

I think you need to buy a sportsbike again as you've got the skill to
ride one well. The Caponord isn't really you tbh.

That was my best week of last year.

Didn't really do much biking after it, mind.

My best biking week, for sure, but there is actually more to life than
    just motorbikes.
Me neither. I did use the bike for a work trip up to Heidelberg in
October though, then that was pretty much it.
