2006 Dave Corden Training - interested?

Right, time to pull finger on this lest I never get round to it.

Please can I have a general indication (in best UKRM tradition, "maybe"
will suffice at this point) who would be up for some DC training in the
    summer?

Cost is approximately £150 [1][2] for two full days riding/instructing
covering all road types and traffic conditions with a general focus on
improving anticipation, road reading and responses to situations -
    varies on your abilities/requirements.

Location is Bristol (just off the M4/M5 junction).

Accommodation not included, however there are numerous UKRM'ers in the
area who may offer a floor. Failing that there's a travelodge just up
the road (Wizard has used this, so may be able to recommend/avoid!)

If you're interested please reply here or send me an email (the address
works) ideally with an approximate month you'd prefer. I can then go
back to Dave to see how it can all fit together.

[1] Yes, it SOUNDS a lot, however it breaks down to approx £9.30 an
    hour, which isn't bad.

You won't get an insurance discount, you won't get a certificate, you
won't get lectured - you will however have your riding improved. If you
want the first three, go and join the IAM.

[2] I've also yet to hear anyone say they didn't gain anything from the
weekend - so far the feedback has all been positive.

How many riders is each weekend limited to?

    2 per instructor.

If there are enough people it'll be Dave and Geoff, so it'll be four in
total - but still two separate groups.

I think Dan was asking for people's preferred month as well?

I am interested but cannot commit at the moment.

It will be various weekends - depends on who else might want to
go/what's available. It would be easiest if you could me know which
    month would suit you.

That's far too organised for me, that is.

Pretty much any time with the exception of possibly Chimay (w/e 15th
July or so) and the last week in July/first two weeks of August.

Other than that it's a bit of a moving target because I have to work
weekends during that time but they keep moving about *which* weekends I
    have to work.

Ooh - I'd be interested in that one. I wonder how much he charges for
it? Millenium Motorcycles does it for £150 plus £50 for the test.

Think it's a bit more than that, but there's a few days of classroom
    instruction in there too ..

Hmm, might stick with the Millenium option then, as I've already been
assessed and, apparently, only require a little bit of extra tuition to
be good enough to attain the Gold standard - assuming I can make the
grade on the exam day, that is!

Unfortunately, I think it's going to be later on in the year that I do
it, as I need to chuck more money at that bloody Fiat, the shocks are
doing a shocking job and need replacing (

Well, I've just booked the week off the last weekend of May / 1st
weekend of June, and I'm determined to actually do it this year.

Crash space available, about 30-45 mins from Bristol.

You do realise that'll mean you'll actually have to get the VFR out and ride
    it, don't you? :p
