Okay, so I realise there's a couple of weeks to go, but in the calm before
the storm I have been mentally assembling a list of biking must do's for the
coming year. So far (and in no particular order) they are:

Do a track day (Silverstone, cos it's just up the road).
Do a foreign trip (possibly Chimay).
Get a supplemental bike to fill the hole in the shed (either an older
sprotsbike such as ZXR750, or something totally old and shite such as a
    CD175).
    Host a UKRM barbie.
Get out on the bike more.
Oh, and buy a new helmet.

Anybody else been making lists, or am I the only sad wannabe?

I've got a list of three definites at the moment:

Krustyfest at the end of Feb for my 40th.
Tiger trip to the top of Norway in June.
MV tour in July - Switzerland, Italy, France, Andorra & Spain.

A lottery win may change the plans somewhat.

    - Sort out the mess that is my garage with some decent racking
    - Buy a bike lift

I hadn't thought of it but:

Get 9R up to pristine condition[1]
Tidy garage, inc. chucking loads of crap out.
Use the fucker more, inc. Euro trip(s)[2]

[1] It's still very good nick for a '98 but then it's not ridden
    through winter.
A full trip down & meticulous clean to get it really nice will do
    although
there are some bits that might need attention.
    [2] When's the TOG tour again?[3][4] I think it's early May which I
    can't do
    but maybe Chimay.
    [3] If someone drops out.
[4] Decided with SWMBO that I will do some weekend bike trips next
    year.

Don't really do lists, but since you ask:

    Ski.
    Ski.
    Ski.
    Ski.
    Ski.
    Ride.
    Ride.
    Ride.
    Ski.

    No, you're not

    1. Acquire another SOB, preferably a KH400 triple
    2. Chimay
    3. Possibly buy a ZXR400, purely for the hell of it
    4. Make more space in the garage for (1) and (4)

only in my head until now, but here goes (roughly in chronological
    order):

    * Get BMW fixed and transferred to Essex
    * Trade Fireblade in for new Z1000
    * Do trackday on RGV250
    * Do trackday on ZX7R
    * "Class of '96" trip.
    * Do off-road day

Swap out tuned engine for newly acquired 'tame' engine in Guzzi trike
Add 5th seat to trike to accomodate newly adopted daughter
Build 'new' solo Guzzi with tuned engine from trike and spares in shed
    Sell GPz900R
Sell SOBMW 520Touring and buy (slightly less)SOBMW 3-series Touring
Get another crosser/enduro, possibly another KX500/CR500
    Do lots more rallies.
Get another SOStroker, maybe an LC or KR1.
Decent holiday next year, maybe 3weeks in USA/Canada/Mexico.
*Finally* clear our garage of tons of old shite.

I think only the last is unrealistic.

    A month or so back.
Nah, just sat on one. I will need a test ride first of course.
I sat on one - my arms aren't Monster compatible.

    5. Do French run
    6. Do TT
    7. Try not to crash.

That lot should keep me busy for a while yet...

    In no particular order:

    Resurrect the GT
    More trackdays
Get my knee down, without my hip/elbow/shoulder following suit
    Wheelie school
Watch a GP/WSB event in Europe
    Buy a decent GPZ900R

When I sat on one I couldn't get used to the way the front
seemed to 'drop away', amost 'non-existent' even.
I guess it was just so different from my 9R.
I'd love to have a go on one, mind.
Oh, shame. Still, good job you found out before you
    went ahead and bought one.
