There's a good reason why it's been arranged for the weekend it's set
    for; Mike's birthday.

I aint moving it for that reason. I just won't be there, as much as I'd
    love to be.

The A&E would also be local for me.
Oh yes, but as an introduction to foreign bike travel Chimay appeals.
    Top man.

Silverstone cost me about £80 when I did it and that was for a day on
the GP circuit, not the fucked up infield bit.

    I don't really know where I'd suggest for a 1st trackday but I don't
think it'd be a mega-fast place like Silverstone. Maybe somewhere
    scenic like Cadwell...

My first was Donington, I loved it. It helped that I'd played the
circuit a fair few times on TOCA Touring Cars on the Playstation and
driven it in a Lotus Esprit V8 after that. Totally different on a bike
    though.

    Not by a long shot:

Build a shed/workshop so I can transfer half the contents of my new
garage to it. I'll then be able to see my shiny clean painted & sealed
    garage floor again. *Priority*.

This will also make room for another bike or two - current plan is to
get a Triumph 600 of some flavour for occasional track use, but I may
decide on something else when the time comes. And I still want another
Guzzi - though I'd sell off the TL if I did that.

    Ski, then ski some more.

    Sort the garden.

    Go camping at least once.

Get that sodding stirling engine sorted, or at least make it pretty
enough to mount on a nice bit of wood if it won't run.

Get an interesting engine idea built. This will probably take me to
    2010, but I can dream.

Get proper dexion units from Ebay. Not too expensive and built to last.

Me too, and I've spent 25 years fucking around with bikes and cars.
Suspect it would take me about 40 minutes in total, but I'd take the
opportunity to change the fluid in any case (and don't have any special
    brake tools)

My timescale involved days, and included time for several panicky calls
    to Loz & Pip.[/QUOTE]

I have a Mityvac, it takes a maximum of 10 minutes with that. I swopped
both calipers and bled the brakes perfectly on Beelzebubs ZX9-R in about
    25 mins.

That's what I did. Except not from ebay; there's quite a few people who
trade in secondhand dexion. The chap I used advertised in the local
    Friday-Ad.

No come on now, credit where credit's due, you *did* change the wheels **on
your own** on your BMW and you didn't get hurt or anything.

And me, facing as I am The Big L.

I also need to find time to achieve the following:

    Sedan.
    Africa.
    Chimay.
Divest myself of the BMW and replace with something fast, light and
    accurate.
Bin my wretched, turd-swallowing employer and find a job I enjoy.
    Lose 3 stones.
    Repaint boat and sail more.

    ....etc.

well, this one is so close it would almost be rude not to. I don't
recall Linger's review (as on their comments page), though.

Anyone else up for it, around April/May?
