- at least double the mileage on all vehicles
- sort the garage out
- decide whether I really want a Speed Triple or not
- grow a mullet

Ooh. I'm tempted. It's been a while since I did any off-roading. But I
think it would probably leave my back in a right 2 & 8.
I'm actually thinking of (dis)organising two visits to this place - one
with ukrm-ers and one with my own team from work[1].

[1] it'd be amusing to see the boy-racers[2] on my team floundering
around in the mud on dirt-bikes - I'd like to think that a certain
amount of on-road experience of bike riding would at least be a small
advantage.
[2] I have a couple of "car fanciers" who reckon they're "all that",
despite only having "warm" motors[3]
[3] Honda Civic Type-R, Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo, Seat Leon Cupra etc. etc.

I suspect I'll be doing at least some if not all of the following:

**** about with my bike. You can never have too many BHP.
Do a foreign trip or two.
Do the TT again.
Do a couple of trackdays.
Get pissed at a few UKRM events.

I can think of loads of other things I want to happen but there's no
point in being greedy. I'll settle for not riding in the rain and not
crashing as far as bike related shit goes.

When I did this, I found new stuff from Dexion/Machine Mart
horrendously expensive, so I got modular stuff second-hand from
a firm called Rack Storage Systems in Sandown Road, Watford. A
bit under £50 for a six-shelf metre-wide bay.

For actually keeping the stuff in, I found cardboard boxes would
break, so I ended up with plastic ones. Four quid or so retail,
but I got 'em for 1.50GBP wholesale.

It's not that hard, once you get used to the idea that the bike will wiggle
around like **** underneath you. There seem to be very few situations in
off-roading that can't be cured with "more cowbell".

Going somewhere bouldery would sort the men from the boys (again, the bigger
the obstacle, the more pace you need to hit it at...) but not sure whether
any form of off-roading would be good for a complete biking novice, unless
they were (irritatingly) innately talented

What's wrong with it? I thought that bike was indestructible.
An exhaust collet went some time ago - just haven't had
time/inclination/energy to do anything about it. Lozzo made me some
replacements, so an afternoon's cursing with spanners should see it
back up and running.

Silverstone isn't necessarily expensive, nor unsuitable for a first
track day. I did my first track day on the GP circuit for £79.

I had a cracking time in Istanbul once. Hope to find excuses to go back
again.

I had a cracking time in Istanbul once. I got slightly wasted on local
weed and played golf all afternoon. That doesn't alter the fact that
it's a shit hole.

I'd need to be wasted to even think about playing golf.

Until you've actually whiled away an afternoon in the sun taking the
piss out of Germans whilst slightly trollied you'll just need to stick
to assumptions.

Do more miles on the FJ than I did on the pushbike :)

15. The thick cardboard banana boxes are excellent, if you turn the lid
upside down and put the base into it, thereby doubling its thickness.
Plastic fruit trays which can be blagged from the local s/market. The
heavy ones with a handle on each end.

I've been exercising a bit and being careful what I eat, and I've only put
on a couple of pounds so far.

I've done no excersise in 3 years, but have fairly well regulated my
food intake to match my hours chair sitting.

I am however considering making 2006 the year where I get back to being
able to comfortably jog 10 miles or bike 40.. maybe.

I'm just working on:
Try and have more fun.
Enjoy a few holidays with friends.
Take a few risks.
Do some stuff I've never done before.
