Is your place one of those floating homes?

Need to get the crowd right, though. There's nothing worse than going to
Amsterdam with people who only want to go round the Rijksmuseum.

  4. Nope - in that everso Dutch stylee, they filled in a load of water, then
build houses on it. They just so happened to do it in such a way that
everyone can moor their boat at the back of their garden. Scuse the
    cameraphone pics:

but they are proper brick built houses etc.

It's not the first time, either. Apparently there's a bunch of them,
living in the wilds of Friesland.

Too right. I will never forgive Mat Tab for dying. What a ****.

    Are you in, colonel?
It was the lack of bloodstains and decaying body parts in Anne Frank's
house that I found slightly disappointing.

Let me know when. It's a direct flight from here, and I'm ready to get
    the F out of D.
    Pathetic, whining pansy.

Heh. I have actually done some boarding, I'll have you know, and quite
enjoyed it. But my unstated mission to rid the world of boarders came
a step closer last week when we[1] taught Champ to ski[2].

[1] I taught him the basics in the morning and he had a proper lesson
    in the afternoon.
[2] Obviously all down to good instruction and modern equipment, but
he was happily skiing linked parallel turns by the end of the day.

  17. The conversation inspired by that went something like this..

'ooo what's that (reads it out) from? The cult?'

    <fires up google>

As google is warming up a voice from behind me

    'Cool, Lucifer's a cross dresser'

Great song, lovely to dance to, but I always forget how long it is and
start off over enthusiastically and get knackered by the end of it.

Arguing about whether skiing or boarding is better is utterly facile.
While on an early season descent of an area with fresh snow and no grooming,
I caught up with a boarder on the flats with some 2-3 ft. up hills.
Asking for suggested words of assistance [like get out of bindings],
a boarder asked. I herringboined up and over and continuted skiing.
You only need a flat or up hill.
