Not the way you do it, perhaps...

Boarding is fine as far as it goes but should be restricted to custom
Snow Parks and wild open places. Wardens with high powered harpoon guns
should patrol pistes in ski resorts and cull all transgressors. On the
Piste, skis and boards *just don't mix*, feck I should know having
killed (1) several of the cunts, sitting on their arses in the middle of
    the piste just under ramps.

I like boarding myself you understand, right place right time.

I recall 2 USA resorts where the two are not allowed to mix already.

    (1) ok ok, I only winged them

Heh. That was your fault anyway.
You didn't refuse the odd tow on occasion though, but you're right -
even on the long run-out from Santons/Epaule de Charvet to Chatelard
you were only a minute behind the skiers, who'd had to pole all the
    bits you were walking anyway.

But don't worry, facts such as these won't get in the way of the
perennial Ski vs. Board argument. It's traditional, after all.

  5. I'm quite enjoying the banter. What I can't quite work out is who is
    winning the argument?

You're not hitting the figure 11 high enough up! You should only ever
need to pole from there in slush or brand new snow. Unless of course you
give a boarder a helpful shoulder barge in the back to try and speed
    them up.

I hate them with a vengence. Dangerous to others, lethal to users.

Mind ewe, speaking as a complete wuss, I have to say that schussing on
a board to get up speed, especially where everyone else has too and
the snow is hard and rutted, makes for an unnerving ride!
