Loved it. Well done, and thanks.

I especially enjoyed watching the star (planet?) sinking in the west...

WTF's wrong with Satriani ? I Thought it was a decent choice, esp given
the length. Nice work tho Marty, kudos.

I had a peek in Stellarium - given how low the horizon is on the video I
    suspect it's Mercury.

    Small screenie.

    Yup.
At first I thought Mercury set too soonafter sunset - so it was Sirius - but
Sirius set too far south... and nothing else big set on the ecliptic around
then, so Mercury it was. (though t'was a full moon - Mercury might've been
    a chore to spot... hmmm)

Yes, I consider myself an amateur astronomer and I'd love to get a clear
night like that. Just too far for me to travel to though what with work
and stuff :( Where the horizon is here I can't ever see Mercury.

If only we'd had an astronomer there on the night to set us
    straight...

Better than Joe Satriani playing "Day at the Beach"? I disagree, it's
been a favourite of mine for many, many years.

Thanks for the video Marty, I *was* wondering why you'd abandoned your
    camera way over there. ;-)
