    I've told the story here before but I had to ride through Tenterfield about
    10:30pm (and on through Stanthorpe; the coldest town in Qld, an hour later)
    totally unprepared and wearing a light jacket (sans-liner) after crashing my
    Trump a year-or-two ago.
    Sure it was October but it was hideous!

    Guyra in July is seriously serious.
    Problem with that area is the extremes -10 in the early morning and
    23+ by morning tea is pretty well routine in winter. My trips
    Grafton-Armidale-Grafton were exercises in putting on and taking off
    until I got the Widder. After that I carried a ski jacket for
    emergencies and let the electrics take care of the changes.
