    In communiqué
Or in th case of a mate's Corsaro 1200 a crankshaft position or neutral
sensor. Wouldn't start - repeatedly. Wouldn't even allow the weird
starter to turn (NO to the kill switch). Put it in to gear and rocked it
to and fro. Back in to neutral (the light had been on anyway before)
    tried again and it started.

A speciality of SO Italian stuff IME.

I wasn't at the time! Fortunately the cases survived, though the RH
'chamber' for want of a better word, was badly scored.

My Guzzi has been pretty good on the electrics front - in the 15 years
I've had it there's been couple of bad connections, my bodges were almost
always at fault and the rather embarrassing ignition non-fault in
Germany. Again, this could be attributed to my workmanship but did take
12 or so years to appear.

I did replace the handlebar switchgear at an early stage...

  4. Don't think so, in fault-find mode the ecu can detect when the sidestand
is up and down so the switch is fine. Don't think there is a clutch
    switch.

My Mille was OK, except for one original connector on the charging
circuit hidden under the tank. Hence the reg/rec I sent you not being
required due to hasty closing in diagnosis of a flickering idiot light.
Amazingly the original CEV items on the Morini still seem in good
working order. Perhaps that might change once used in the rain.

My old Alfa 75 managed to get the German precision FI system to fail
totally at random by having one shite multipin connector in the loom
which couldn't stand the current and used to 'burn' one pin. A fault
well known by a true Alfa expert independent rather than pathetic main
    dealers.

It does just the opposite in XanaNews - breaks an otherwise clickable
    wrapped URL.

Some newsreaders don't seem to allow this.

Well, Macsoup doesn't but to be honest I haven't been bothered to
    fiddle with settings.

Prefixing a url with "url:" often does the trick.

    eg. url:http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ve...SAg&ved=0CCoQrAQwAg&docid=9831779596384932574

Are you on some kind of pay per click deal with that Ronnies site?
    It's a bit shit if you're not. :)

Oddly, the link I posted not only wrapped in my browser, but the search
results didn't turn up this gem:

Sure, that works, but I wouldn't have to if the <> wasn't there.

Try just url: ... instead then, that didn't break the link when ogden
    did it.

Even just reading the subtitles was more than enough for me - I didn't
    bother watching the entire interview.
