So it's an RD350LC in a 250LC frame, with nasty spannies that have meant
junking the centre stand and a probably iffy engine rebuild.

I do hope he examined the engine and frame numbers carefully, and
checked the V5, because to me it sounds as hooky as hell.

I wonder if the 'timewaster' alluded to in the auction actually realised
the thing was a total hound?

he's had a few before, was aware of all the above and happy all checks
    out.
    V5 is the 250 chassis
Engine history is unknown so fair enough but he's happy to rebuild if
    needed.
Right now he's got a dirty great grin on his face.

yep. got home just after half ten which I thought was excellent.

just spent £283 on two new tyres though but did manage to get them
from the fifth place we tried.

  8. Oh well, fair enough. God knows there are some dodgy old LCs appearing
out of the woodwork, these days, though.
    Yeah, hence the 4L1 number.
Decent fun bike if all is indeed kosher.

I must stop being so distrusting :)
