Anyone use 6 wheel policies? I'd be keen to know of any pitfalls
    enshrined in them.

Exhausts: I need new headers. Could I be advised of who might sell me
something jigged and stainless, or of any to avoid. I'm utterly clueless :(

I prefer to keep my NCB separate. I even have my bikes on separate
    policies for that reason.

    Motad.

I've got 4 on the bike, but only 1 on a car, so that's not much use. I
don't think I'm too scared to mingle them, but I've no idea how you pull
    them back apart. forfeit one?
Are they the good, or useless type?

    Pretty much.

I had some for my bandit 12. They were fine.

Motad make very good exhausts but beware that they can look rather
different to the originals, this is very noticeable on the 400 Four
where it looks a bit gash..

Auntie Carole does a 6 wheel policy, but I've never had one so can't
    judge.
Sandy Bike Spares, you'll find them via google. Failing that, I'm
breaking a nice conditon Thunderpants at work this week.

Makes no difference when hidden behind a fairing.

  8. I need a (counts on fingers) 20-wheel policy, if anyone can help.

There's a place near me called "Dairy Pipe Lines" and they fabricate
specialist pipes in SS. Although I've not yet used them myself I do know
a number of local bikers have had parts for Zorsts made there and have
    been extremely pleased.

  10. Motad also make exhausts which look identical to OE, and as for the 00F
system, it doesn't look gash - it's just that the OE system looks *so*
    good.

Motad's stainless systems are supposed to be rather good. I also *think*
they make the exhausts for Triumph.

It's her I'm ringing this morning.
Would sir be kind enough to let me know if they're SS or not?
I think for future pita reasons, SS is the happy direction to be in.
    Cheers.

I bought some after market silencers ('onda Pan Euro) from Sandy Bike
    Spares, they are SS.

    They're made from stainless:

I have a Bandit link pipe of theirs, very nice it is too, and somewhat
cheaper than the Suzuki offering. Doesn't look like they do anything of
use for you, but it may be worth giving them a ring, as the chaps I
spoke to were pretty scathing of the website: it isn't up to date,
    complete or appealing.

And how does that work then? You don't make a claim against a particular
policy or a particular company (if you make a claim at all, that is), you
make a "claim" and you're asked if you've made *any* claim within the last X
number of years and the insco's really don't give a **** whether it was a
car or a bike. All they care about is you made a claim and your no claims
bonus is affected on ALL policies.

Or have I got it wrong?

Claiming on one policy has not affected the NCB of another, in my case.
    I've kept them all informed.

Indeed. The 'headline figure', your NCB% will remain the same, but the
gross premium may differ as they apply a loading.

I just checked their website for you and they don't do downpipes for
    the Thunderpants, sorry.

Might be worth you giving them a call to see though - 01234 871009 or
