    or there-abouts...
The 7 day forecast is out and for next week in Vic. it shows:
increasing temp until Thurs 32degrees??? by far the hottest this
time around. A change on Thurs. back to 17 and not much different
for Frid. There are still clearing showers forecast for Wonthaggi today
following last Thurs change. Of course this is only computer modeling.
Customary for this time of year, the changes bring the winds... 100kph
this last time and they are still about in the east today but not as strong
as yesterday. Depending on what happens the Sheene ride next Thurs.
    could be shitful.
There are snow showers forecast for Hotham this weekend... Temp range
1 - 4. The snow depth when reporting ended at the start of Oct. was > 1
metre - the end of the best season in many years. Late next week might
not be very pleasant up there - expect run-off water to be crossing the road
in places. Also be wary of the sheltered side of the road... maybe slippery.
There has been a green ute working out of Orbost... among other vehicles
.... did a mate in recently; there is an operator (very efficient?) heading
    up
Cann Valley way who like using distance - time devices. Evidently there
was a NSW patrol working the same road around the *fast* pine tree area near
the Vic border, on the same road over the Bombala bike show weekend.
I used to think that it was a fairly safe isolated stretch of road.
    Ride safe...

Yeah, it was, until everyone told their mates it was a fairly safe
    isolated stretch of road.

As if there's a fairly safe isolated stretch of road anywhere in Vic
either side of the GP. The Bonang is safer, more because it's often
difficult to reach the limit there.

    Gary (and it's pretty tiring)
