    hi,

No matter how much I adjust the clutch cable, the clutch will not
release. I have bought 4 new clutch springs, have gotten new m6x25 bolts,
I tighten the bolts down. and there is no movement at all in the pressure
plate. I'm not sure what else to check on this. this is driving me crazey,
one this works this bike is ready to be driven.

    any ideas on this problem?

Are the m6x25 bolts shoulder bolts? If you used standard bolts and
tightened them all the way, the clutch will not release because the
pressure plate is not be free to move away from the clutch basket.

Did you verify that the clutch release rod moved freely from pulling
in the clutch lever, when you had the pressure plate removed? If not,
the problem is most likely in the clutch adjuster mechanism in the
    left crankcase cover.

Shoulder bolts? They are not, just regualr m6 bolts. The picture in
the manual didn't look like them.
I'll get some of those, due i get 25m lenght bolt from end to
flange, or 25 from end to end of the threads. Thanks.

And everything is freely moving, except the pressure plate.

Nope just regular bolts, manual never said anything about using
    shoulder bolts.

how do i get these bolts. 25 from end to flange or 25 from end to
    end of threads?

everything is moving freely except for the clutch plate.

    thanks

I also noticed the drawing on partsfish.com didn't look like they were
shoulder bolts, but there has to be some means of keeping the bolts from
tightening down all the way until the pressure plate is completely tight
against the friction plates. I suppose the bolts could simply be made
to bottom out in the tapped holes in the basket, but that would be a
really crap idea, and I doubt that's how Honda chose to do it.

If you buy the bolts from Honda they will be the correct ones. They're
only about $1 each. Don't overtorque these, they are not really very
tight at all in my experience.

    Have you got a manual?

    [re: clutch pressure plate bolts]
I would use Loctite on them, though.
