Anyone know of a problem with said bike and overheating? Radiator is not
leaking and levels are fine. The bike was idling between 1000 and 2000 rpm
and slowly the temp gage crept up to "Hot Level". After I shut the "beast"
down, I could hear bubbling but not sure where....."sorry"
Any help/Ideas would greatly be appreciated.

    TIA

Check coolant level. Idle should not be over 1100rpm.

Wow, Thank you very much. You've made me feel better knowing this info.
Being a "Newbie" and having purchased the bike for only 24 hours, could you
point me in the general direction of the "idle mixture screws". I don't have
a repair manual yet but looks like I will need it soon.

    Once again,
    Thanks

About the bubbling - you are sure the cooling system is filled
with the prescribed water/glycol mix, not only water that has
    a lower boiling point ?

    "ZX-900R"...

Indeed, I'm partial to "OLD" names, Actually, I think from the book I
purchased today ($40 CND) the GPZ900A name is the UK name....but still
better for insurance quotes here to use the UK name than the ZX
Will look into the electricals for the fan as I don't think it was working
when the engin was getting hot.

    Thanx Again

Just Flushed the system, Seemed to have "Anti-freeze" (That is what I call
    here here)
Will but the the required 50% Anti-freeze and 50% distilled water

    Thank you
