    Heya,

Got an 84 yamaha venture sitting here. Would like to change the shaft
oil - manual makes reference to measuring the level with a special
tool which comes with the venture tool kit which is long gone.

Anyone here know what the oil level should be say if you used a
screwdriver as a dipstick? If you marked a line on the screwdriver
that was put even with the mouth of the oil hole, how far down from
that mark should the oil be?

    thanks,

    DB

  2. I've had a lot of Yamaha shaft drives, and you usually just put the
bike at level and fill to the bottom edge of the fill hole.
