    Man dies after moped accident

    AN elderly man died after he was thrown 10m from a moped in a crash
    south of Wollongong.
    The 84-year-old's vehicle hit a traffic island in Albion Park about
    5.40pm yesterday, police said.

    He was taken to Wollongong Hospital but died a few hours later.

    There was a possibility the man may have had a medical condition that
    could have contributed to the crash, police said.

    In an accident earlier yesterday, two men died when their motorcycles
    collided at Glen Elgin in northern NSW.
