Well just look at the old codger. Far too old to be riding motorbikes.

I'm kinda planning a trip out of Belfast for the Manx with Robbie if you
    thought of going.

    With his foot, probably.
That was my impression and the camera doesn't lie.

It also doesn't show pain, so pass on a GWS from me, next one in, ta.

From the description I expected both legs to be in plaster.

I gather its just one arm & jaw then?

Pah, phone him a taxi and send im home.

They are, but they're very good at not leaking. Which is handy when the
nurses give you a few at 9pm and collect them, full, at 7am.

Eh? Lack of plaster != lack of broken bones. Left tibia broken, fairly
cleanly AFAIC make out, right femur broken in 3 places, pinned but
possibly needing bone grafts, plus some of the stuff you can see.
His mum will be taking him home soon enough.

Yebbut there's normally scars/scabs/blood/wounds from the surgery where
    they put the matalwork in.

All I can see regarding that is one small plaster on right leg and what
looks like a scraped knee on left leg. Remarkably clean surgery.

TBH I can't really remember what my leg looked like after the first lot
of metalwork went in, but I know it had a 4" long Y scar above the
knee, mostly cause by the bone bits escaping.
Good. Nothing like being at home.

Not always, my legs are surprisingly scar free but the metalwork is
    clearly visible

Are you sure that he was in possession of it? He didn't mention it and
I didn't see one. He is still a bit fuzzy and forgetful but I'm sure
    he'd have mentioned abusive t-shirts...

No. He doesn't have any fully functioning limbs at this point. Broken
hand on one side, torn rotator cuff on the other. Both legs broken,
    plus jaw.

It is worse than it looks although it has improved considerably over
the last few days from what I'm told. Whoever put him back together
has done a brilliant job but I really can't emphasise enough that he
is still very battered, bruised and tired. I did warn him he looked
almost too well because I was expecting plaster and wires etc but this
seems to be how they do it now.

  17. Exactly. Same as, what was it, Queen's Hospital, Belfast became a world
leader in gunshot and bomb wounds, I'd imagine Douglas Infirmary
(whatever it's called) will have a cadre of very experienced bike crash
    stitcher-uppers.

Anyway, he is less sore today but is supposed to keep his hand upright
for 4 weeks. Can't see it.
