A nice ride home tonight.

Having spotted that there was a pile up by the MetroCentre tonight, and
I couldn't be arsed to filter to the Angel, I decided a new route.

I nipped over the Scotswood bridge, and then down the A694 to Consett
(The Derwent Valley), and then cut across to the A691, and through
Lanchester. From there back to Durham and home.

It was only a couple of mile longer than usual, but it shaved a good
15-20 minutes off my journey time.

Some not bad roads, and some good scenery too, and not a dual
carriageway to be seen. It could be a regular run home I think.
