    A brief summary....

    Friday.

Flew into Bologna from LGW, Bologna is a pokey little airport with not
enough Passport control staff on hand, picked up a Hertz hire car
    (nice Alfa summat or other).

Fired the hire car down to Milano Marittima on the coast (which
appears to be where the Italians go on holiday).

Nice place - lovely hotel looking out over the beach. Nice mix of
traditional and modern loud restaurants and bars.

    Saturday.

    Drove down to San Marino.

Did the cable car, explored the citadel, had lunch, then took a long
route back to the hotel via a couple of mountain passes to abuse the
    hire car a bit.

    Sunday.

World Superbikes at Imola - Fantastico - Hospitality courtesy of
    Hanspree.

Took lots of photos ... getting better .....

    Monday.

Drove to the Ducati factory in Bologna for a factory tour and look
round the museum. Fascinating experience, would recommend it to any
petrol head; Ducati fan or not. A really interesting an in depth tour
around the assembly plant up and down the production lines etc etc
(Trivia Question - The factory is an assembly plant as nearly 99.99%
of all the components are manufactured by 3rd parties and bolted
together in the Plant - What is the only component that is actually
    made/manufactured in the Factory ?)

Drove up into the mountains for lunch and to find some more twisty
before taking the Alfa back to the airport and catching a flight home
    at 7pm.

A fantastic little break all in all. Back to work now .... bummer.
