You'd think so, wouldn't you, except that spot is in suburbia, on my
    regular route home from work!
As much as I would like longer legs, there are limits to what I would
    do to get them!

I looked into getting the soles of my boots built up a bit - however,
they're Rossi boots - moulded sole, so no can do. One of these days I
may call into the local Harley dealer and see if there's anything
there that might give me an extra inch...

Not to mention the cost ! IIRC the story above she had to go to
Russia - it was something like a 100K all up or something stupid

The papers claim was about 100k but I heard less than 1/2 of that ,
remember she is from the area and had places to convalesce but
    personally not for me
I am adverse to pain and am 1.94m tall anyway which has it's own
problems when the world is built for short arses and trolls

I don't think you are ...ahem..."equipped" for the extra inch that H-D

Ahhh OK, I'll take your word for it - I recalled seeing it in the
paper and thinking it seemed like a lot of money for not much

  10. Good call. It must suck being vertically challenged. My friends girlfriend has
dropped a couple of bikes for similar reasons. I don't have long legs but can
leg press 400 kilos which has saved my arse from similar fates a few times. : )

Surely you are old enough to have been wearing platform shoes in the
seventies. You should have kept a pair. I tried to but my wife threw
them out. Try a retro shop.

LOL, yeah, I had some whopping great things that made me all tall and
willowy in my Staggers jeans, bwahahaha! Trying to imagine, though, how a
pair of rope-soled 5' heeled slip ons would go on the bike. I reckon I might
have a few 'issues' getting the toe end of my foot UNDER the gear shifter to
change up... and I suspect my knees would be up my nose most of the time!

  16. In aus.motorcycles on Wed, 28 Oct 2009 19:50:37 +1100
Heel toe rocker pedal gear change. As standard on Italian bikes for
    years....

Seat height problems, needing a heel toe... you need a Guzzi you do!

(Although not an EV, porky sods that they are.)

You don't really get the extra inch; you just think that everyone
believes you have and extra inch (while they really just know you *need*
    an extra inch instead.

OMG. Elsie, you evil cow..... I am now so confused.... Perhaps if I go
metric... all of this is starting to feel like 'The Emperors New Clothes'
and everyone (maybe even ME) will feel?SEE that I'm taller if I go to an HD
dealer- or maybe they will think worse of me, and wonder which inch I
actually got - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh - and all I wanted was for my feet to
    touch the ground.

Pffft, what's an inch anyway, between friends???

    imperially indescribable, metrically mangled betty
