Works for me, except if GB resigns as PM & Labour leader then it opens the
door for HH to become PM. I can't see her herding the other minority groups
    to get anything done.

Do you think if GB resigns as PM but stays as Labour leadern then the
Labour party would allow your boy to become PM, with GB as Chancellor?
Puppet Boy with Mandelson pulling the strings, as ever.

  8. Well over the years, I've qualified in both camps. It is like comparing
apples and oranges. Both have their plusses and minuses.

For anyone who is interested, Friday in Gildenburgh, it was colder out
of the water than in it. But the Vis was good for the place.

  9. What's the matter? Well it's simple almost every post you make is "I'm
Scottish, me". Your choice of vocabulary is cliched for example
    'sheeple', 'ickle-one'.

As I said, you bore me.

HH as Labour leader would be an *extremely* short term measure, or
Labour would cast into the wilderness for years to come.
Oh, yes, I can see that working, except for two things:

1: It is GB's "destiny" to be PM, and nothing should stand in the way
of that, least of all the electorate. Clegg's position would be
unworkable, as the media would be briefed night and day on how
unsuited he was to the job. In opposition, all the Tories would have
to do was sit back and watch.
2: Allowing GB to be chancellor again would be like giving Captain
Smith another go at sailing the Atlantic in a big boat.
The elevation of that object to the Lords was one of GB's greatest
errors/crimes, and there are plenty to pick from.

Maybe they were voting for the party rather than the person?
Why not move to an area that has an MP belonging to whichever
    political party you support?

The planned new 'super carriers' will be cancelled but Trident will go
ahead. If you don't believe me then google for information regarding
how and where they were going to make the carriers.

I think the Lib-Dems are going to have to join the Tories and form a
short term coalition but they should pull the plug and force a vote of
no-confidence if the Tories stall on electoral reforms.

I reckon they won't go that far, and we'll have a minority Tory
government, with the libdems merely backing a motion of confidence.

That lets the government move on in the short to medium term, some of
the financial hatches get battoned down, and at the same time the
lib/lab gang can still push the PR argument and firmly keep a lid on
    inheritence tax, foxhunting, etc.

    But we'll see.

You don't genuinely believe Labour have any intention of implementing
    PR, do you?

They're only in favour of it for as long as it would take to get ickle
    Nicky to join their club.

Then they'd forget about it forever. Again.

PADI Open Water is 18 metres.

Still pretty useless when you don't use it for over 10 years.

I don't think they want it, but OTOH it's a price they may have to pay
for support from the other smaller parties if nobody agrees to join
anyone's club. Alternative vote might be where it all starts though.
