after the German invasion. There was an armistice which is not the same
thing at all.

Now let's get back to Dunkirk where the British forces ran and left the

As I told in another message, I have a great respect for your Country.

The sad reality is that the BEF evacuate at Dunkerque and left the French
alone against Hitler;
It is not a blame, it is history.
As De Gaulle once told :"Never more ! When they have to choose between Paris
and London, I have no doubt that they will choose London".
And WE UNDERSTAND IT !

Of course, by the evening of May 30, 120,000 of the BEF were rescued thank
to the protection given by the French.
Among these 120 000 only 6,000 (5 % !!!) were French; this worried Churchill
greatly. He asked for more French soldiers to be evacuated and also for
Lord Gort to leave.
But the past is the past.
Note that all are for to blame :

Germany, of course at first.
UK for Dunkerque
USA for to the support they gave to Hitler (Prescott Bush, IBM, Ford etc..)
Russia for the "non agression pact"
Italy allied of the Nazi
Spain also.
Holland, Polish, Tchec etc for the capitulaton
France for the armistice, even if betrayed by all the "supposed allied"

The lesson, dear Martin, is that we have learned : We don't need NATO;
