It stops being as easy when you've got a sidecar on there. The wheel
comes out ok but you need to carry a hydraulic jack everywhere you go
so you can lift the bloody thing off the floor.

    d'oh.

Of course, now the cunting alarm is playing up - I think the battery
    is knackered.

    Fucking bikes.

yeah, yeah, unless you have a flat tyre which won't hold any air (the
    inner tube was fucked).
the only one I could find is hideously expensive.

I've never had any major problems with alarms before.

This one's gone mad - whilst I was trying to charge the battery, it
made the odd chirp, but the ordinary charger was also playing up, so I
went to switch to the Optimate. As soon as I disconnected the charged,
the alarm started a sort of permanent chirping (which the manual
explains as "battery tampering"). It's now completely immobilised the
bike (as in turning on the ignition doesn't enable the bike's
electrics at all). The only way I could get it to shut up was to
    disconnect the battery.

I'm going to twat it next weekend.

Surely it's useful ballast for the wheeled pannier?
